Who this study is for

This study is for adults who snore, who have been told they snore, or who have sleep apnea. You don’t need to snore on the night you record — a quiet night still qualifies — but the study isn’t a fit if none of those apply to you.

How payment works

Participation is first come, first served: the first 30 participants whose recordings qualify will each be compensated with one $50 electronic gift card for their time and effort. Qualifying recordings are counted in the order they finish uploading. Uploading does not guarantee payment, and later or non-qualifying recordings are not paid.

One $50 electronic gift card per qualifying participant. If your recording qualifies, it is issued and emailed within 7 business days after the study team confirms it qualifies.

What a recording needs to qualify

At least 4 hours of playable audio
Measured from the recording itself, not from what the file claims. You can still submit a shorter recording and it will still be reviewed, but recordings under 4 hours may not qualify for the $50 electronic gift card.
One real, unedited night of your own sleep
No editing, looping or padding. You do not need to snore that night — a quiet night still qualifies.
Recorded on your iPhone with Voice Memos
The file has to be the audio Voice Memos produced, so every night in the study is comparable. Photos, videos and screen recordings are not accepted.
Uploaded through this portal within your 7 days
Not by email or text message. You can replace your file from the same link any time before your deadline; the most recent one is the one reviewed.
Among the first 30 recordings that qualify
Qualifying recordings are counted in the order their uploads finish. Once 30 have qualified the study is full, and recordings that arrive after that are still welcome but are not paid.
